An afternoon pursuit led to the arrest and incarceration of an Eagle Pass man on Wednesday.

     EPPD Public Information Officer Humberto Garza informed The News Gram that Eagle Pass Police Department officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black in color pickup for a traffic violation.

An Eagle Pass man was hit on the head and rendered unconscious before being subsequently robbed of his possessions late on Wednesday.

     According to information gathered from the Eagle Pass Police Department, EPPD officers responded to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center emergency room in reference to an alleged robbery.

A Border Patrol agent assigned to the Del Rio sector area was arrested this week under an accusation that he pawned his government-issued night vision equipment in Laredo , Texas. 24 year-old Border Patrol agent Luis Enrique Aranda claimed to his superiors that the very expensive binoculars/goggles had been stolen.
