SAN ANTONIO — After hundreds of legal filings and three separate trial delays, Democratic state Sen. Carlos Uresti will finally get his day in court next week to face felony charges of fraud and money laundering.

20-year-old Jorge Amezcua, of Eagle Pass, Texas who was arrested as the prime suspect of an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against Eduardo Rodriguez, age 29, by the Eagle Pass Police Department, Texas Rangers and the Texas Department of Public Safety on May 22, 2016 appeared in court on Wednesday March 1, 2017 to set a schedule for trial.
