After receiving a grant from the National Recreation and Parks Association the City of Eagle Pass Parks and Recreation Department along with the Mayors Fitness Council are offering adults ages 50 plus a new way to stay fit. The program Walk with Ease will be offered free to the community. This exercise and walking classes began on March 20 from 6 to 7 PM at the San Juan Plaza.

The Eagle Pass City Council held a meeting on Tuesday, November 7 in which they were approached by longtime baseball league coordinator Francisco Galan over an issue he sought to  rectify with the city council and administration over the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the parks where games are held.
