The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce continues the nomination process for the “Citizen of the Year Award” for 2017. The deadline f or nominations is until February 21,2018.

The Del Rio Police Department arrested 21 year old James Paul Richard on Wednesday January 31 for allegedly causing injuries leading to the death of a 5 month old child. The child sadly passed away from severe injuries which included blows to his body and head.

San Antonio City Council today approved a new law prohibiting merchants in the city limits from selling tobacco products to anyone under 21 years old.
San Antonio is the first city in Texas to enact such a law. Five states and more than 280 cities in other states have approved similar measures.
