MEXICO CITY (AP) — Authorities have closed one of the busiest commercial crossings on the U.S.-Mexico border after damaging rains and winds.
In San Antonio today, a federal grand jury returned two separate indictments against District 19 Texas State
Senator Carlos I. Uresti announced United States Attorney Richard L. Durbin, Jr., and Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) Special Agent in Charge Christopher Combs, San Antonio Division. Three other
individuals were also charged by the grand jury.
The Laredo City Council held a meeting on Monday, May 15 in which they discussed the request from City Mayor Pete Saenz to place City Manager Jesus Olivares on administrative leave with pay until outside counsel can make recommendations on the issue and FBI investigation related matters.
