cbp and sheriff department catch 18 wheeler truck with 1,100 lbs of marijuana

The United States Customs and Border Protection Agency caught an 18 wheeler vehicle with 1,100 lbs of Marijuana at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry on Sunday, February 4, 2019.

The vehicle driven by a man identified as Jesus Barron Eduardo Juarez and coming from an area in Saltillo, Coahuila was marked for a secondary inspection.

Upon conducting the secondary inspection, CBP officers found the illicit cargo hidden within the boxcar compartment of the commercial vehicle. 

The case was referred to the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department who are in the process of filing the proper charges against the subject.

Juarez was detained and remanded to the Tom Bowels Detention Center where he remains incarcerated awaiting criminal charges.
