The Harris County sheriff's office says Russell Cormier was arrested in an area park Friday morning.
Authorities say Cormier killed 61-year-old Fannie McWhite on Monday, took her pickup, drove to the trailer where he lived and set it on fire. He later drove to a business and fatally shot a 60-year-old man. Officials say Cormier went to a home early Tuesday and shot a man once, injuring him.
Cormier, who is charged with murder in McWhite's death, was in jail Friday morning on $500,000 bond. Jail records didn't list an attorney for him.
Investigators haven't revealed a motive.
