RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Brazil's day has finally arrived.
The sun rose Thursday on a tropical nation hosting its first World Cup in 64 years. Nearly half the world's population, well over 3 billion spectators, is expected to watch soccer's premier event and get a glimpse of the country that in two years will host the Summer Olympics.
But just hours before play begins, it still isn't clear which Brazil we'll see.

When you think of the big dukeroo between the Eagle Pass Eagles and the SA Reagan Rattlers, we have a distinct advantage if you take the time to think about it.San Antonio is in a rage right now that their Spurs are entrenched in a dog-eat-dog fight with the OKC Thunder which you can see everywhere you turn in the Alamo City and there may not be as much fanfare for their Rattlers who are off to Laredo today to try to win a berth in the State Tournament.
