The latest meeting of Commissioner's Court happened to make history due to the fact that for the first time, a woman sat on the court, as Daniela Flores-Aleman now takes former Commissioner Rodolfo Heredia's place and Javier Libson sat in former Commissioner Eliaz Maldonado's chair. The two were appointed by visiting District Judge Dick Alcala earlier in the day after the petition to suspend both Heredia and Maldonado was upheld after much litigation in the Old Maverick County Courthouse.
