North Carolina credit union offers immigrants "Dreamer Loans"

The Latino Community Credit Union of North Carolina has created a "Dreamer Loan" to keep students who qualify for Deferred Action from being left out because they don't have the money to pay the $465 application fee. The LCCU has started informing its 54,000 members about the new finance program for young undocumented immigrants eligible for Deferred Action, a program aimed at delaying deportation of the kind of people who would benefit from the long-stalled DREAM Act.
Aerial Spraying Set to Begin in a Northeast Section of Dallas County
Friday, 17 August 2012 22:06 Published in August 2012Weather permitting, aerial spraying is expected to begin tonight in a northeast section of Dallas County to control mosquitoes and help prevent the spread of West Nile virus. Responding to requests from Dallas-area cities, the Texas Department of State Health Services is directing two planes to begin flying at approximately 10 p.m. The planes will cover about 106,000 acres and will complete the day's spraying by 3 a.m. Spraying may be delayed or halted due to rain or windy conditions.
