Victoria Bartlett qualified for the Region IV Cross Country Meet, which will be held in Corpus Christi next week, with a third place finish at the District 30-AAAAAA Meet in Del Rio, and while she came into the stadium in second place behind Emily Torres of Del Rio, United’s Genesis Serratos caught her at the last possible second of the race in a photo finish.
The District 30-AAAAAA Cross Country Meet was all that it was hyped up to be, a showdown between Laredo Nixon’s Margarito Benavides and Eagle Pass’ OJ Ruiz.
