The 14U Eagle Pass All Stars defeated Laredo Gateway 12-3 on Sunday to capture the Texas West State Championship at the McAllister Little League Complex in San Antonio.
The victory qualifies them to represent Texas West at the Little League Southwestern Juniors Softball Championship in Santa Fe, New Mexico in August.
Eagle Pass Little League Juniors Softball Team members include Lynette Gil, Elena De Alba, Lizann “Heather” Ruiz, Daniela Rodriguez, Janessa Garza, Karina Ruiz, Connie Hernandez, Marichelo Flores, Leenette Krezdorn, Isabella Ruiz, Joelyn “JoJo” Gonzalez, Emily Snyder, and Kayla Ochoa.
Team manager is Willie Ruiz and Assistant Coaches are Sonny Snyder and Mac De Alba.
Los Agentes Locales de Patrulla Fronteriza seccion Eagle Pass se declaran Listos para tomar parte en el la Batalla de las Placas que organiza el Boys and Girls Club por quinto ano consecutivo este proximo 23 de Agosto en el ICT de la ciudad de Eagle Pass. Tres Agentes que estaran participando y que se declaran listos para reconquistar el trofeo de campeones que obtuvieron por los primeros 3 anos peros despues perderlo el ano pasado ante USCBP.

LAS VEGAS (AP) —
The NBA's best coach is bringing in one of Europe's very best to add to his staff.
The San Antonio Spurs have hired Ettore Messina to be an assistant under Gregg Popovich, the defending champions announced on Tuesday.
Messina comes to San Antonio from Russia, where he coached European power CSKA Moscow. He is a two-time Euroleague coach of the year and has also coached in Italy and Spain. He served as a coaching consultant for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2011-12 and now is making the jump to a full-time NBA coach.
