Eagle Place Third at Southwest Tourney

The Eagle Pass Eagles were in San Antonio over the weekend to take part in the Southwest Invitational. Coach Neto Reyes' squad came in third in the tourna- ment winning three games and dropping a close one against the host team the Southwest

Duke Commit Justin Robinson Paces Lions past Eagles 67-50

The Eagle Pass Eagles stood toe-to-toe with Justin Robinson and the San Antonio Christian Lions on Saturday at the SAC

Gymnasium going into the halftime locker rooms knotted at 30-30. Robinson, the son of San Antonio Spurs legend David Robinson, will be a preferred walk-on at Duke University in the fall where he will be a part of Coach Mike Krzyzewski's Blue Devil Basketball Program.

Eagle 7th Graders Place 2nd at Melba Rivera

The Eagle Pass Junior High 7th Grade A team went on a 4 game winning streak in 4 days straight of game play. They began their week by beating United on Wednesday in a double header 58-20 and 35-10, and then defeating Memorial  44-18, as well as Uvalde 40-31, in the Melba Rivera tournament. 

Eagles A  advanced to the championship, but fell short to a strong Del Rio team   51-37. Eagles A team ended taking 2nd place in the   tournament.  Only losses this year have come against Del Rio.   

Eagles 7th B team beat MJH convincingly 45-13, and then came up short vs the La Pryor A team 32-30 and ended up 3rd out of 5 teams by losing to Del    Rio-B, who they've beaten twice this season, but lost 42-36 this time in a hard fought game.  

Eagles B was without the help of PG Kris Barcena for their final elimination game.
