Not too long ago, Coach Gaby Belmonte was banging around tennis facilities across the whole of South Texas behind a gritty old coach who wanted nothing other than his charges to compete and let their opponents know that whoever laced them up against Eagle Pass was going to know they played a well coached, well prepared squad and this year was no different as now Coach Juarez took her thirty or so participants to the 2015 Border Blast Team Tennis Tournament and came back with gold.

The CC Winn Track Team traveled to Southside High School in San Antonio for the 2015 District 29-AAAAA Championships and several Maverick runners and competitors will be advancing to Area Competition in Alice this weekend. Winn's long distance specialist Valentin Limón placed 3rd in the 3200 meters and will represent Eagle Pass at area for an opportunity to move on to the Regional Finals.

The Eagle Pass Lady Eagles closed out a perfect 10-0 season Tuesday night with a 10-0 victory over the visiting Del Rio Queens.
