The University of The Southwest in the fall. In a ceremony held in early April, the three Maverick standouts signed and will be off to New Mexico and will take their experiences and their talents to show the nation what futbol is all about on the Texas-Mexico Border. Also honored was Felipe Flores, who will be attending Pine Manor University in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Three year started, was a great facilitator and led this year in assists and had 14 goals. (2) Erik Tarin: (Mid)
Formidable midfielder and presence in the middle of our formation, turned defense into offense. (3) Armando Villarreal (Goalie) signed to attend the University of the Southwest.
Great goalie that had a down year this year because of injury. Came back in playoffs and had two great games. (4) Ricardo Gutierrez (Mid) Great mid that came into his own last year and was vital this year with his quickness and toughness.” The Mavericks excelled this season coming one goal short of wining the District 28-AAAAA Championship in a 4-3 loss to San Antonio Southwest.
