Coach Roger Olivas informed The News Gram that several of his athletes performed exceptionally well at the meet. Sergio Hernandez won the 800 Meter Run with a 2:03.31. OJ Ruiz was third and Oscar Mallen placed fifth.
Joshua Monsivais won the 300 Meter Hurdles with a 42.38. Eddie Treviño also participated and ran a 44.97.
The team of Jaden Kypuros, Allan Rodriguez, Javier De Leon and Isaac Caballero placed fourth in the 400 Meter Relay with a time of 44.53. Eddie Treviño placed fourth in the 110 Meter High Hurdles with a time of 12.1. The team of Erick Esquivel-Romo, Allan Rodriguez, Javier De Leon and Isaac Caballero placed fourth in the 800 Meter Relay with a time of 1:33.82. Esquivel-Romo placed sixth in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 23.83. Javier De Leon ran a 24.37.
In the 1600 Meter Relay, Isaac Caballero, Allan Rodriguez, Oscar Mallen and Joshua Monsivais placed second with a time of 3:29.07. Erick Esquivel-Romo and Dakota Kypuros placed fourth and fifth respectively in the Triple Jump with leaps of 38’ 1” and 38’ 0 1/4”. Esquivel-Romo came in third in the Long Jump with a 19’ 10”. Charlie Schuessler placed third in the Shot Put with a toss of 43’ 10 1/2” and Nathan Aguilera was fifth with a 41’ 5”. Schuessler also placed fourth in the Discus with an impressive 124’ 9” while Joseph De Hoyos came in fifth with a 124’ 8”. Marco Torres placed third in the Pole Vault with a 10’ 6” and Henry Browning tied for fourth with a 10’ 0”.
San Antonio Alamo Heights won the meet with 162 cumulative points while Eagle Pass was second with 111. San Antonio Clark was third with 102, Marshall was fourth with 84, Macarthur was fifth with 54 and Robert E. Lee was sixth with 45.
