“The Coyotes were tough

and made things tough for

us,” said the coach, “We

A break finally

came when Jose Solis headed-

in a cross off of a corner

kick to give the Mavericks

the lead. The half ended at 1-

with a lot of energy to score

the equalizer, but the Mavs

matched the intensity and

were finally able to pull

away as Alexis Esquivel

scored to make it 2-0.

push, Esquivel crossed the

ball into the box and a

Uvalde defender ended up

putting in the net for an own

goal that made the final

score 3-0.

from Alex Flores, Luis

Sugaki, Felipe Flores and

Ricky Gutierrez. Jesus

Gonzalez and Armando

Villarreal combined for the

shutout from goal.”

Then on Tuesday,

the Mavericks hosted the

Medina Valley Panthers.

pull into a tie for fourth

place in District 28-

AAAAA.

The match started

fast as the Mavericks quickly

began to look for the

opening score of the match.

boot of Felipe Flores

who took the shot and

scored.

from Alex Flores, Jose

Herrera and Jose Rodriguez
