The Eagle Pass News Gram caught up with Del Rio Head Football Coach French McRae in his fourth year as Ram Head Coach and eleventh overall who said that their season is not going as planned as they have been knocked out of the playoffs although, "the future looks bright and we're just hanging in there this season."
What he did say was that his team is looking forward to what he calls a very physical matchup this Friday night against the Eagles.
He will line up junior Quarterback JD Torres, senior Wide Receiver Scott Meadows and junior Wide Receiver Guy Creamer on offense.
On defense, Del Rio will have 5' 10" 185 Lb. Middle Backer Manny Arguijo along with 5' 8" 215 Lb. senior Nose Guard and Defensive End Jose "Dozer" Mendoza along with Safety and exceptional return man Bryan Beto who has returned four kicks for TD's this season.
On Eagle Pass, "We know they have a good football team and they are well coached. They play extremely hard and have some game breakers on offense and some head hunters on defense. It's always been a physical match, we've always played each other really well," closed Coach McRae, "It's always a game we look forward to."
