The Eagle Pass News Gram caught up with Harlandale Indian Head Football Coach Albert Torres on Tuesday who informed us that his team, who has been struggling the past few weeks with tough losses including the 36-21 defeat at the hands of Uvalde last week, has seen some improvement and according to the coach, "Will continue to keep working."

When asked who had scored in their previous District 29-AAAAA contest, Coach Torres mentioned WR Steven Benitez, a 6' 1" junior who scored from one yard out, junior RB Robert Acuña also a junior who scored from two yards out and senior RB Dylon Fernandez who scored on a fourteen yard run.

Torres also counts on sophomore 5' 11" QB Chris Perez and Offensive Lineman Trisdon Fuentes a 240 Lb. senior.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Indians depend heavily on the play of senior Safety Jesus Garcia who had a big interception in last week's gamae, junior 5' 10" Linebacker Noah Alonso and junior 5' 9" Safety Sergio Abarca.

"We haven't had a district win and we have our work cut out for us this week against Winn," concluded Coach Torres, "They're good on both sides of the football and we expect them to get after us, so we'd better be ready to go."
