"We are continuing with our process of installing our offense. We do what we do, nothing changes from week to week,” said Coach Krepz. “We started our season 3-0 and there is great expectation in our community. The excitement is high and we would love to give them their first playoff contender in years. We firmly believe we have the opportunity to win some district games."
The Bobcats defeated Harlandale, Antonian and McCollum before squaring off with United South and falling by the minimal score of 34-33 in overtime.
"We scored in overtime, but they blocked our extra point,” said Coach Krepz. “They had the ball last and mede their point after to take the victory."
The next week, the Bobcats played United very well holding them to two scores in an equally competitive game 14-7.
"Our quarterback was hurt, but we're hoping to get him back for this week's game," said Coach Krepz, referring to Quarterback Raul Agosto, who has rushed for over 800 yards this season.
Also on offense is Center Ethan Estrada, 5' 10" 260 lbs., Guards Jacob Araiza, and Hilario Alequinez, along with tackles senior Frank Serrata and sophomore Jorge Muñoz.
On defense they have senior Nose Tackle Ernest Hernandez along with senior Safety James Valencio.
When asked about the Eagles, the coach said, "They're much improved and are playing some good football right now. It's going to be a good game."
