The Lady Eagles came out firing in the first set, taking it from the host Queens 25-22 behind the setting of both Junior Setter Larissa Moyeda and Junior Setter Bianca Camarillo who had 19 and 17 killer sets, respectively. Middle Blocker Emily Medina had ten big kills, while Junior Outside Hitter Aleanna Torres and Sophomore Outside Hitter Sophie Gonzalez had eight a piece; Junior Right Side Hitter Sophie Rodriguez had five and Junior Outside Hitter Paola Rodriguez had four.
Junior Defensive Specialist Nataly Martinez had an incredible 19 digs to Junior Libero Keila Contreras' 13, while junior Defensive Specialist Josie Garcia contributed nine.
It was in the second and third sets that Del Rio began to establish their game, but the Burnt Orange and White would not go down without a fight in the fourth and final set which the Queens won by the smallest of margins.
