Writer Cory Mull was in town a couple of weeks ago when the Eagles hosted the Border Bash Cross Country Meet when MileSplit brought their cameras and reporters down to gather information from the coaches, EPHS administrators and even a few of the stars of the show, the runners on both the boys and girls teams.
The Eagle Pass News Gram was not able to get a direct quote from the MileSplit team, but they were sure to highlight the training regimen of the local athletes, as well as the trials and tribulations that these runners face on and off the course.
The feature itself, an article by Mull and a well-produced video which has gone viral on Facebook with over 7,000 views, includes interviews with Coach Juan Gonzalez, his Assistant Coach Hugo Sanchez, Assistant Principal John Byrne, Principal John Cox and runners Sergio Hernandez, Homar Perez and Monica Rivera.
