The Mancha Mustangs Cross Country Team traveled to the Del Rio Invitational on November 15th and participated in a 1000m race. Two fourth graders participated in the race, they were Joseph Esparza and Cynthia Gomez who placed 16th and 6th respectively. The 6th graders who tied up their laces and hit the all-weather track for the 'Stangs were German Velasquez who placed an impressive 4th place in th run and Henry Ovalle who came in 5th. Azael Rodriguez placed 9th, Allen Galindo came in 12th and Raul Soils came in the top 20 with a 19th place finish as well. Coach Luis Sanchez wants to take this opportunity to thank the runners and their parents for making the trip to the Queen City to give their children other athletic opportunities.
