Then on Day 3 and only up by one point, it was time for the head-to-head match ups where Captain Ochoa pitted Raul Figuero a against arguably Eagle Pass' best player, Jesus "Chamo" Diaz a player recognized in North Texas and a participant in past Texas Opens. Diaz also known as "Whopper" hit one of the most magnificent shots of the competition on his third shot on the Par 4 6th, Diaz put it within one foot of the hole to tap in for par to end the match All Square after 18 holes of play. another big time win for Team Mexico was Jorge De La Cabada 3 and 2 against Toby "The Lizard" Jacinto, another scratch golfer on a strong USA Squad. Some other interesting matches included Hugo Cantú vs Che Rodriguez who have squared off for four years in a row with Cantú winning 1 Up. Another was Luis Rodriguez of the US vs Toto Gonzalez of Mexico, one of the hardest played matches of The Cup which after three consecutive years of playing ended up All Square "¡Nada para nadie!"
