Presenting the inaugural Perfecto Mancha Elementary Mustang Cross Country Team. This is the first year team is preparing themselves for the upcoming cross country race that is being sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club in Eagle Pass on the 20th of October held at the Maverick County Lake. All local elementary schools are invited to attend as well as those in the surrounding area. Del Rio has participated in past years as well as some teams from our neighbors in Mexico.Coach Luis Sanchez made the effort to inquire who was interested in participating. He presented to them the information for the race and asked to see who was interested in running. They were very excited at the opportunity to participate in such a race and they wanted to start practice right away. They will definitely be a force to be reckoned with at this year's race as they are in every sport they participate in year round.In the picture are Raul Solis, Jr., Elias Salas, Henry Ovalle, Juan Jose Trejo, Sebastian Rodriguez, Enrique Rodriguez, Abraham Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Azael Rodriguez and Samuel Rodriguez.
