Seven CC Winn Maverick football players received upper echelon honors in 2015 according to Head Coach Eric Villaseñor including QB Reyes Lopez who was unanimously named First Team QB.  Junior LB Albert Duran was awarded Defensive Newcomer of the Year.  Junior Big Joe Rodriguez was named Most Outstanding Tight End in District 29-AAAAA and Junior Rene Auces was given the Most Outstanding Safety Award for his performance this season.

Other first team selections for the Mavs were Lalo Martinez who earned First Team Running Back honors for his gutsy running between the tackles and his breakaway speed we've known since his days in elementary school.  The face of our defense this season, Senior Ryan Pike's fiery leadership will truly be missed next season, however he walks away with his held held high as he was rewarded with First Team Defensive honors.  Finally, Senior Outside Linebacker and one of the true leaders of this team, Ramiro Valdez was awarded First Team Defensive Honors.

Second Team Selections for the Mavericks were: Second Team Wide receiver (8) Julio Ruiz, Junior, Eagle Pass Winn, Second Team Offensive Guard (75) Joey Salazar, Junior, Eagle Pass Winn, Second Team Defensive End  (94) Eddie Salazar, Senior, Eagle Pass Winn and Second Team Defensive Corner  (20) Alex De Jesus, Junior, Eagle Pass Winn

Honorable Mentions on Offense were: Junior Alfonso Cardona (WR); Junior, Carlos Tijerina (OL); Junior, Juan Dees (C); and Senior, Jaime Fuentes (OL).

Honrable Mentions on Defense were: Enrique Garza (DT); Junior, Carlos Tijerina (DT); Junior, Eddie Aranda (OLB); Soph. and German DeLuna (OLB); Senior.
