In the Top of the 2nd inning, Nathan Salinas walked and Ethan Rodriguez laid down a perfect bunt to third, but an errant throw scored Salinas and Rodriguez was left on third, 1-0 Astros. In the top of the third, Juan Nuncio walked Alan Alonso doubled and Ulises Perez hit a two-run double to put the 'Stros up 3-0. The Sox scored on in the third then in the bottom of the fourth, Alonso gave up a double to Jared Salinas and Gavino Rangel tripled him in to make the score 3-2. It was in the final inning that Izhar Mauricio came in relief of Alonso with the tying run at third to mow down the Red Sox with three consecutive strikeouts to clinch the championship for the Astros! The Astros are: Luis A. Leos, Armani Ramon, Ethan Rodriguez, Nathan Salinas, Juan Nucio, Uziel Mauricio, Albino E. Perez, Allen Alonso, Ulises Perez, Izhar Mauricio Jr., Gael Losoya and Gabriel Balderas. The team was coached by Gabriel Rodriguez and Izhar Mauricio and was managed by Leo Rodriguez.

In the 9-U Division of the Triple Play Fall League, Skipper Leo Rodriguez came out of retirement to lead the Eagle Pass Astros to the championship in a game fitting of title implications in a showdown against Jaime Martinez and the pesky Red Sox who gave the 12-0 'Stros all they could handle.
