Eagle Pass Eagles High School Boys and Girls Teams played their first tournament in Mission, TX October 6-7, 2015. Diego Carrillo tied for second as they went to the score card, he placed 3rd. Diego’s Friday score was 82 and a 70 one under par on Sunday. Diego Carrillo is also the captain of the boys Varsity Golf Team, followed by Ricardo de la Cabada. Rodrigo de la Cabada, Abraham Diaz, and Sebastian Gomez. The Team placed 6th in overall of the 12 teams.  The girls team Captain is Suzy Zavala, a junior, followed by Shawnee Betancourt also a junior. Other team members are Isabel Gonzalez (freshman), Lydia Saucedo (freshman) and Carolina Villarreal also a freshman. The team has been practicing during the hot summer days from Tuesdays thru Friday. Constantly working on basic fundamentals. There are 42 boys and girls learning the game of Golf. The team is under new Head Coach Beto Hernandez and assistant coach Annie Rodriguez, who is learning the basic fundamentals in teaching the students. The future looks bright for the team. Goals have been set for the upcoming tournaments.
