The Eagle Pass Eagles battled back in Game 2 of their best of three series with the Edinburgh Bobcats in Laredo after the series was moved from the Alamo City due to rain and after a Game 1 on Friday that required the Burnt Orange and White to have a short memory in order to come back.

And come back they did even when falling behind 5-0 early, but in the top of the second, a hit by Sergio Soliz and a big double by DeeAndre Torres put the Eagles on the board before scattering three runs over the next three  frames to take an incredible 6-5 lead!

A two-run home run by the Bobcats erased this lead, but a two-out rally in the seventh when three back-to-back 'hit by pitch'es loaded the bases for the hero of the La Joya Series, Isaac Ramirez delivered once again lacing a single to drive in two scoring Soliz and Torres.  Mando Lopez and Ramirez would also come in to score on an error to put the Eagles up 10-7.  He even came in in relief to get the save as Edinburgh threatened to overtake the lead in the bottom of the seventh with two runs, but it was too little too late and we would go to a third decisive game.

Junior Southpaw Jorge Rodriguez gave the Eagle Pass Eagles 6 shutout innings before the fatigue both teams must had been under on a hot humid Laredo afternoon which saw a lot of baseball action, a lot of hitting, fielding and scoring in a Game 2 that saw several lead changes began to take its toll on the players.

Enter Ricky Medina who did the same in the seventh before the Edinburgh Bobcats were able to literally scratch across a run in the eighth after loading up the bases with one out ending the Eagles' season.

The Eagle Pass Lady Eagles on the other hand, were able to best their similar from Edinburgh 3-1 and 3-2 after Anna Aguado ripped a single to score Izabella Ruiz in a 2-2 tied ball game in Game 2 to seal the proverbial deal and catapult all-world pitcher Crystal de La Cruz and the Lady Eagles into the fourth round of the 2015 AAAAAA State Playoffs against the New Braunfels Canyon Lady Cougars this Friday in a pivotal two out of three series at St. Mary's University in San Antonio at 7:00 PM.  Game 2 will be on Saturday at 3:00 PM with Game 3 thirty minutes following Game 2 if necessary.
