Jesus Gonzalez, the Owner and Team President informed The News Gram of the fact that they got out to a quick start scoring first in the fourth minute, then adding another in the ninth minute and were awarded a penalty kick which they converted in the 33rd minute. Real Cuahtemoc answered with a goal in the second half but it was a little too little, a little too late for the Austin side.
"Luis Hernandez scored our first goal with his left foot, a spectacular goal where he was able to get it by the Austin keeper. Edgar Alan Macias (Pictured here) scored the next goal with magnificent fury in the ninth minute. Esteban Carreon scored the penalty kick," said Gonzalez.
Twins Cities also were able to win their second game of the season when they traveled to Diboll, Tx. to take on the Texas Timberz of Nacodoches coming away with a 3-2 victory on two more goals by Macias in the 21st and 42nd minutes. The Timberz responded with two unanswered goals in the first half then Christian Ramos scored the game winner in the 88th minute.
Twin Cities FC leads the league with 6 points and possesses the TPSL's leading scorer in Edgar Alan Macias.
An absolutely marvelous start for our side. Twin Cities FC will be at home to take on the Houston Hurricanes on October 4th at Kiwanis Park in Uvalde.
