Mendoza reached an unheard of achievement her sophomore year by hitting an incredible .789, a feat that had not been reached in twenty years.
Sandra was also the leading base stealer in the State of Texas after swiping a total of 52 bases this season.
She also ended up in the Top 12 in the state in runs scored with 42.

Mendoza will attend The University of Texas at Arlington in the fall and the Eagle Pass News Gram salutes her and her parents Tina and Reynol Mendoza who have always been there to support her in all of her academic and athletic endeavors.
