On the weekend of April 4-6, 2014, Brooke Diaz competed alongside with her 12U softball team, SA Tap Out ’01 in the highly competitive USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) national qualifying tournament in Seguin, Texas.  SA Tap Out ’01 fought hard against 28 other elite teams and finished as the undefeated tournament champion!  With the victory, SA Tap Out ’01 earned an invitation to represent the state of Texas in the USSSA national tournament this summer in Florida.

Brooke Diaz plays a vital role as the team’s vocal leader and starting catcher.  She is the only member of her team from Eagle Pass, and represents her hometown well!  She is a highly dedicated student-athlete who maintains her position on the honor roll and excels in volleyball and basketball at Eagle Pass Junior High.  She also participates in the EPJH Athletics Club, EPJH Motivational Club, and Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church Youth Group.

Way to represent Eagle Pass, Brooke!  Best of luck at nationals!
