The Longhorns, first up at bat had a single hit in the first inning before they were quickly put away by the Eagles with a nice running catch by Center Fielder Monica Flores. When the Eagles stepped up to the plate they brought in 2 runs on a fly ball by Melanie Mendoza making the score 2-0 after one inning of play. In the top of the 2nd they Lady Longhorns scored their first run of the game but the Eagles rose to the challenge scoring 3 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd, leaving the score at 5-1. At the top of the 5th  the Longhorns scored again with an RBI single but yet again the Eagles met it with their own double to right field and a sacrificial fly that brought in a run making the score 6-2 after 6 innings of play. At the top of the 7th the Longhorns were able to score once more but then were stopped by the Lady Eagles when Nina Flores, the 3rd baseman made her 5th and final out at 1st base to end the game 6-3. 

The 10-0 Lady Eagles have two more games left of District play. Their next game will be against Del Rio on April 11th 2014 at the Eagle Pass SAC.
