The CC Winn Mavericks had to work from behind to try to catch up to Isaac Cabello's United South Panthers as the Panthers jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead early in the game and a botched snap gave the ball back to the Panthers with little time left on the clock before the half. This is where Cabello found daylight to scamper into the endzone for the 21-0 lead at the break. United South received the second half kickoff and proceeded to matriculate down the field, but Carlos Cerezo jumped a post pattern thrown into the endzone for the interception.

The Mavericks would not give in and took advantage of the turnover as the offense came out in the third quarter with a different look as Deion Alonso took over in the Wildcat formation and began to make the Panthers think and QB Juan Elizondo took a direct snap from center Kevin Canizales and took it 92 yards for the Maverick touchdown. United South tacked on another quick score to make the final score 28-7.
