It was like a scene from Macfarlan USA. All six of CC Winn’s XC runners came in like a pack of wolves all six in the Top 20 and three out of Top Five were 1st, 3rd and 4th.
Dante Jimenez continues to shine and grow winning this grueling two mile race 48 seconds faster than his nearest competitor, Southside’s Kaleb Flores.
Jimenez ran a 16:59.60 to Flores’ 17:47.13.
Winn’s Rene Mendoza and Felipe Peña came in right behind with sub 18 minute times.
Joselin Orozco, Sebastian Carrillo and Sebastian Martinez rounded off our top six eligible runners adding up to 45 points, the lowest point total as a team in this race giving them The District 28-5A XC Championship!
The entire team will travel to Corpus Christi on October 20th for The Region IV Championship.
