"We played really well and executed on offense," said Head Coach Roger Olivas, "We scored on seven offensive possessions out of nine. Our defense pitched a shutout.
"We have a huge task this week facing San Antonio Taft, a playoff team from a year ago and from the San Antonio Northside School District. We will have to continue to get better and execute on offense and play fast, physical and disciplined on defense."
El Güero Xavier Barrera went 14/22 for 218 yards and two touchdowns then he carried the ball six times for 66 yards.
A Ruiz had six carries for 21 yards and a score, but Luis Flores ran for 72 yards and four touchdowns.
Sebastian Velasquez had five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Pepe Hernandez had five catches for 71 yards and E Banda had two catches for 39 yards and one touchdown.
