The Eagle Pass Eagles played a great match this past Tuesday vs Del Rio.

It was a hard fought game and the Esgles came ready to play.

“Del Rio is a strong and physical team, but we came ready to play,” said Coach Rey Ruiz.

“Early in the game we went down 1-0 but came right back with a great passing from Emiliano Puron to Jesus Martinez who found the back of the net to tie it 1-1. Del Rio scored another goal right after to regain the lead. Then right before half, again Emiliano Puro found room and sent a great ball to Jesus Martinez for his second goal of the game to tie it up again 2-2.”

In the second half The Eagles dominated most of the possession and had a couple chances but could not finish.

Finally, Ivan Cruz scored a great goal on a free kick and we took the lead 3-2.

With about 15 minutes left in the game Del RIo tied the match at three and eventually scored a fourth goal with about 7 minutes left to end the game 4-3.
