South San were the first to get on the board in the first when Jasiah Carraman singled, scoring one run. Winn captured the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the fifth after Earl Herring singled, Daunte Leija walked, Allen Alonso hit a sacrifice fly, and Apolonio Delgado singled, each scoring one run.
Leija earned the win for Winn on the mound. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking none.
