My name is Lianna Maus, number 11, and I am the shooting guard for the Lady Eagles.
What are your parents names? Siblings names?
My parents are Jesus and Marisela Maus. I have two younger siblings, Jesus and Camila.
Who do you look up to?
Who are your heroes?
I look up to my dad every single day of my life. He’s been the one to push me past my limits in order to prove myself not only to others, but to myself as well. Not once has he ever failed me in any way and I don’t know what I would do without a father figure like him.
Who's your favorite
athlete and why?
My current favorite athlete would have to be Devin Booker. We both play the same position and his leadership skills shine above the fact that he is not only a play maker and knows how to set the pace in the game, but he is strong asset to their team.
Any hobbies?
I love and enjoy spending time with my brother and being able to bond over the things we both love doing.
Favorite food?
My favorite food by far has to be sushi.
Favorite band?
I don’t have a current favorite band, but growing up One Direction was always on repeat.
Favorite movies? Any favorite basketball movie?
My favorite basketball movie is for sure Coach Carter. From starting off as a weaker team, they become one of the nation’s best team.
What makes a good
teammate?
A good teammate is someone who is willing to learn from others and who knows how to be a team player.

Coach Carreon is somebody you can go to about any problem whatsoever. He is not only an understanding person, but he’s somebody who is willing to help in any way pos sible. His player to coach relationship with us is one that everyone needs.

My top artists right now are Drake and Lil Baby. Listening to Jumpman and Heatin Up is a necessity before any game.
What advice would you give a young man playing basketball for the first time?
Play with the mindset that you are capable of accomplishing anything. Your biggest competitor is yourself and getting over the fear of disappointment or failure is your biggest battle. Hard work and patience is necessary in order to complete anything.
What do you think of when you hear our fight song?
It gets my head in the game and prepares me to put up a fight.
