Player Profile: Paola Sessaty
A.D. Ibarra
-Eagle Pass High School
One of the players Coach Izanelly Jimenez is going to miss next season is a true leader and a highly dominating player.
This young lady has a knack for taking over a match, both on offense and defense.
Our Profile Series subject let the visiting LBJ Wolves have it in a way this reporter calls 'Death From Above' where you let the opposing team have it and let their plastic surgeons deal with it.
I give you Eagle Pass Outside Hitter Paola Sessaty.
First of all congratulations for being selected Player Of The Week by your Coach. What can you tell our readers about last week's game and your performance?
As my day went by and the hour got closer I felt more and more anxious. I stepped onto the court and the anxiousness went away I told myself, “It’s just another normal game.” The anxiety went away and excitement kicked in. I played as if it was the last game of the season, as if it was my last opportunity to show the crowd what I’ve got.

Coach Jimenez is one of the most encouraging coaches I have ever had. She’s tough on every single one of her players not only because that’s her job but because she believes and knows the potential we all have.
What's on your playlist?
I have rap music, reggaeton, banda, country anything you want I’ll have, I have various types of music but Spanish music is my favorite.
What advice would you give a young lady playing volleyball for the first time?
Don’t put to much pressure on yourself. It’s a tough sport to learn so take it one step at a time. Remember you’re only as strong as your weakest player. Work hard and never give up.

It makes me think and remember that I’m playing to represent our school.
