Coach Eric Villaseñor has done a great job of teaching the game and motivating student athletes who may not be of superior size, strength or athletic ability.

His teams have played hard, qualified for playoffs and have played elite programs who DO have these types of athletes. I don't know if you've heard of the kid that won the last game for The Dallas Cowboys against none other than the New England Patriots, CeeDee Lamb. That's right ladies and gentlemen, your CC Winn Mavericks played him and Sherman Foster in the third round of the playoffs not too long ago.

Juan Estrada, another News Gram Player Of The Week is all of 5'5" and racks up tackles and most importantly turnovers for The Silver and Black Attack, and our Profile Series subject today is another undersized player that packs a major whallop. Thanks to him and his brothers up front, The Mavs had over 300 yards on the ground last week.

Coach Cozel Foster always told my dad that "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

I give you CC Winn Maverick Guard Jose Armendáriz.
