Bobcats and The Beastie Boy Play Panthers & Picazo's Panthers Tough And Win Their First Game of Season

Jordan Ramos, Zaiden Velasquez, Josh Oca, Gabriel Castillo Abdiel Picazo and the Panthers took on Chopper Guardiola, Humberto Montano, Armando Acosta, Jose Jimenez, Carlos Fuentes and the Bobcats on Saturday in the best game of the day and of course, you can't mention the 10-U Bobcats without mentioning Ramon "The Beastie Boy" Hernandez who once again showed why he is hands-down one of the most exciting players in this league.

And it's no wonder. When his father Dario was toting the pigskin for both EPJ 2000 and your Eagle Pass Eagles, he had the same skill set. vision, speed and elusiveness.

This kid's got it all and in spades.

This is how it all went down on Saturday.

Hernandez scored first at the end of the first quarter on a 52 yard TD run with 1:56 remaining in the quarter, then Enrique Gonzalez scored from six yards out for the Panthers, but The Beastie Boy answered back with a 45 yard TD run. The extra point was no good and the score was tied 13-13.

Humberto Montano had a great game and got a tackle for a loss late in the first half, but Abdiel Picazo got away with :45 left in the half to put the Panthers up at halftime.

Then Ramon Hernandez scored again from 56 yards out and the Jose Jimenez‘s extra point was good to make the score 26-19.

Picazo struck again with 2:05 left in the 3rd to make the score 26-25.

Then Hernandez scored on a 53 yard TD run to put his team up 33-25 and the Bobcats notched their first victory of the season.
