Ryan Maldonado scored first for the blue and orange with a 50 yard TD run with only 1:01 having ticked off the clock. Derek Esquivel scored the extra point and it was 7-0 Broncs.
Then Jordan Mendez scored four minutes later from 23 yards out. Extra point was no good, 7-6 Broncos still lead.
Esquivel worked his magic again on a 40 yard TD run, extra point was no good, 13-6 Broncos.
Believe me ladies and gentlemen, this thing went back and forth all day even late in the game (as you will see) and Mendez would not be denied on a 49 yard TD run with only :04 remaining in the first half, a key play in this game for sure, and the game was tied at 13.
Both defenses held almost the entire second half, but it was Kristian Valadez who struck first with a two-yard blast with 6:12 left in the game, Derek Esquivel stopped the extra point, but the Cowboys were up again 19-13.
He was all over the field and he made his presence felt again with a 10-yard touchdown to tie the game late with only 3:38 remaining in the game, but in another key play of this game, a play that would've sealed the victory for the Broncos was thwarted by the Cowboys D and we went into FOUR overtimes to try to sort this thing out.
And guess who scored first in overtime, none other than Derek Esquivel, who scored in the final overtime period on a 14 yard TD run to put his team up 25-19. Again, the extra point failed.
Then it was Julio Miwa who would seal the deal and end this game with a touchdown and an extra point to win it 26-25.
