The Southside Cardinals came into town with a hope and a prayer at Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium after having lost their starting QB to a torn ACL, bit their prayers were answered with two late scores, a 67 yard TD pass and a 21 yard touchdown run to outlast The CC Winn Mavericks 24-14.
Jeremiah Robinson scored twice, once in the second and again on a 13 yard touchdown pass from Abiel Cardona un the third.
Robinson had 24 carries and 167 yards to Pace The Mavs.
The Mavericks took on The San Antonio Southwest Legacy Titans on Friday night in the Alamo City, but results were not available at press time.
