As the family members of Jaime Moreno attempt to put together their sentiments and their lives after the sudden suicide of the patriarch of their family yesterday afternoon, it leaves all involved with the question of why one would take such a definitive measure to avoid problems during what is now the holiday season. Moreno, who until recently worked at the GEO prison, had been experiencing problems we all may have to face in terms of family, work and providing for himself and his loved ones. It is during these times, law enforcement officials say, that these types of situations come to light and people take extreme measures to avoid facing life's problems.

Luego de haber permanecido por casi 4 horas atrincherado en su camioneta pick up en el exterior de su domicilio en la calle San Juan, finalmente un hombre decidió dispararse en el pecho con una pistola calibre .38 así lo informaron las autoridades. La calle San Juan permaneció acordonada desde la calle Bibb hasta la Vista Hermosa, mientras oficiales de policías y del Distrito Escolar vigilaban el área, en lo que fue un gran operativo policíaco.

Four schools were on lockdown after law enforcement officials were called to the San Juan Street area for an attempted suicide. What would eventually be a 4 hour standoff between local law enforcement and the obviously troubled man, culminated when the man shot himself in the chest area with a .38 caliber weapon.
