Information provided by County Judge David Saucedo implies that the Detention Center operator is in the plans to open its facility by September of this year.

The Maverick County Hospital District is one step closer to purchasing the property in which their building stands on. During a meeting held on Tuesday, June 26 the MCHD Board of Trustees approved to authorize CEO Terri Patlan Contreras to execute a contract with University Health Systems (UHS) for the purchase of the Medical Office Building / Ground Lease which is approximately 3.4 acres of land.
