Del Rio man arrested for allegedly injuring 5 month old child
The Del Rio Police Department arrested 21 year old James Paul Richard on Wednesday January 31 for allegedly causing injuries leading to the death of a 5 month old child. The child sadly passed away from severe injuries which included blows to his body and head.

Infant death still under investigation
The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate an infant death which was reported Monday morning.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., deputies arrived at the mobile home located near the Kickapoo Reservation, after the mother of the 16-day old child had called. The mother said she found the baby, who was sleeping in the same bed, unresponsive.
