A.D. Ibarra
-Maverick County Courthouse

The three district judges met with witnesses all day at the Maverick County Court House with a captive audience of a few reporters and a couple of members of commissioner's court, Human Resources Director Jesus Sanchez, who has a vested interest in the proceedings as he will have to either have to set up interviews for the position or know that the position is not vacant any longer as deliberations were con- ducted in the conference room adjacent to Cynthia Muñiz 365th District Court Room.

Visiting Judge Camille DuBose, Judge Muñiz and Judge Amado Abascal spent the entire day fielding presentations and interviews with at least eight individuals including employees within the auditor's office, inde- pendent auditor Milo Martinez, County Commissioner Robert Ruiz, Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and even former Maverick County Auditor Carlos Pereda who may not have entered to be interviewed, but was avail- able and in the area.

Another who was not seen, but may be questioned was finan- cial advisor Robert Rodriguez who may have a broader perspec- tive than anyone being that he has been with the county since 2008.

Another who was not seen was the auditor himself, however no decision was made on the issue and Judge Abascal informed The News Gram that the triumvirate will meet again on April 1st and 2nd to finalize their investigation as they were given a good amount of documentation which to review.
