Un hombre de Eagle Pass que huyó a México en 2011 durante un juicio ha sido condenado a prisión por no comparecer.

De acuerdo con un comunicado de prensa de la oficina del Fiscal del Distrito Roberto Serna, el 3 de agosto de 2015, Juan Ramón Medrano fue condenado a ocho años de reclusión en la cárcel por el delito grave de falta de comparecencia.

On Wednesday morning at approximately 6:00 AM, an incident occurred in the parking lot of an establishment on Main Street where a man, who according to reports, caught his wife with another stopped the vehicle they were traveling in and began to argue with his wife.

After the entire Regular Meeting was almost in the books, City Councilwoman Gloria Hernandez authored an item on the agenda to review the scope of work provided by legal counsel Langley & Banack.  After it was all said and done, a new system of notifying council as to the specific itemized services for which the city is being charged on a regular basis will begin 'fresh' as City Councilwoman Gloria Hernandez put it, as soon as the next meeting of council.

Four reserve deputies of the Maverick County Sheriff's Department were airlifted to San Antonio hospitals after suffering a serious motor vehicle accident on Old Mines Road on Tuesday at approximately 5:00 AM.

    The re-arraignment for County Commissioner of Precinct 3, Jose Luis Rosales has apparently been pushed back and according to Daryl Fields, Public Information Officer for the US Attorney's Office Western District of Texas, we will wait for an official date for Rosales to appear before The Honorable Alia Moses in Del Rio.  His date is still on file for jury selection and trial for September 15th as his docket call was postponed yesterday.
    Since his last appearance before Judge Moses, Rosales filed a motion to change legal counsel on April 24th.  He is now being represented by Rogelio Martin Muñoz of the Nuñez Law Firm in Uvalde.
    Former Justice of the Peace Cesar Iracheta is set for docket call on September 8th and jury selection and trial on October 20th.
    In another unrelated case which stems from the original three indictments in the Maverick County corruption scandal, David Gelacio is in custody again for violating the conditions of his supervised release when he was arrested back in March for DWI.
According to a report, Gelacio was observed going over a curb while overcorrecting his vehicle alerting a EPPD unit in the area who proceeded to pull him over.
    During the course of the traffic stop, Gelacio advised the officer he had consumed eight beers.  After failing several sobriety tests, he consented to two breathalyzer tests which marked 0.151 and 0.160 the legal limit is 0.08. 
    He was taken into custody and due to his violation of the first condition of his supervised release which is that he shall not commit any federal, state or local crime Judge Moses had him remanded into custody on April 8th and he was arrested on April 14th at 8:15 PM.
    Gelacio appeared before The Honorable Collis White on May 29th and his detention hearing was set for June 3rd before The Honorable Victor Garcia.
    Gelacio remains in custody and is slated to re-appear before Judge Moses on August 12, 2015 at 11:20 AM.

    Ayer, destacamos los rumores de que la ciudad de Eagle Pass está considerando para producir ingresos adicionales para los proyectos necesarios dentro de nuestra comunidad.
    Según fuentes, la ciudad está contemplando aumentar  en ambos puentes internacionales de $3.00 a $3.50 a ser comparable  Brownsville, LaredoDel Río.
    Esto tiene comerciantes en el centro de Eagle Pass en un alboroto absoluto ver el hecho de que sus ventas han bajado debido a otras circunstancias tales como el aumento del costo del dólar estadounidense, que ya están haciendo los consumidores a través del río piense dos veces antes de venir a Eagle Pass.
    Elevar el precio del peaje que tendrían que pagar para ir a casa a México es contraproducente para el aumento de los costos de los productos de ambos lados de la frontera y de acuerdo con los comerciantes locales, esto no sería considerado un incentivo, sino que, de hecho, ser extremadamente perjudicial para sus esperanzas de ver renovada o aumento de tráfico del centro.

    El Departamento del Sheriff  informa de una llamada aproximadamente a las 9:26 p.m. del lunes de un hombre que no tenia conocimiento.
    De acuerdo a un comunicado de prensa del MCSO, diputados respondieron a Desirable Road, en referencia a un posible suicidio.
    A su llegada unidades, los oficiales observaron un sujeto masculino que no respondía tirado en el suelo después de que su esposa le había cortado la correa que tenía alrededor de su cuello.
    Equipos de emergencia fueron enviados a la escena y el sujeto fue transportado al Centro Médico de Sala de Emergencias Fort Duncan Regional.
