Eagle Pass/Maverick County and South Texas received a visit from a key figure in United States legislation as Senator John Cornyn descended on South Texas to take in some major issues and concerns, which are forefront in the consciousness of area leaders.
Cornyn addressed a coalition of Federal representatives, State Representatives, local dignitaries, physicians, health care representatives, oilmen, energy company representatives, leaders in local and college education, law enforcement officials and a conglomerate of interested parties.
Cornyn had come from Del Rio and was actually on his way to Washington DC immediately upon leaving the Eagle Pass International Center for Trade’s West Room as a contingent of aides, security personnel and his personal press secretary all escorted him out of the building.
